| 2004-11-20 My dual P2 is back to life! |
|
I have to thank Flashbios.org: they reprogrammed my dual P2's motherboard BIOS chip in only six days at a good price! I really hate when the BIOS flashing goes bad. Ok, now I think I can go back to BeIDE and restart to work on AtomoCAD Preview Release 1, wich is finally very close! Stay tuned!

No, this BeGeistert was not lucky at all. However, I made my AtomoCAD PR1 presentation, and now I'm back home after a stop in Amsterdam (it's just a 2 hours trip from Düsseldorf, if you don't find a broken power cable on the railway line like we did). And even if I'm not a good photographer, I made some pictures, enjoy!

Last Sunday, my four years old cellphone, a Panasonic GD90, leaved this tough world to reach its fathers. In more technical terms, the keyboard has broken (or at least the power button). Now you may think, "what has this to do with BeGeistert?" This unhappy event allowed me to buy a new cellphone, and I choose a SonyEricsson T630: it has Bluetooth and can act as a GPRS modem. Do you get the figure now? I'm one of the lucky fellows with Internet acces here! Now, the bad news: unfortunately AtomoCAD PR1 will not be ready for October 20 as promised (but I will make my demo here with an almost ready version), and I forgot BeNQC with his USB driver at home, so no Mindstorms show this time. | 2004-10-03 Are you ready for BeGeistert? |
|
BeGeistert 13 is approaching, and I'm finishing the last things. Today I gone to a computer fair and, together with a bunch of RAM for my dual PentiumII, I come back home with a geek toy wich will make someone very curious at the Düsseldorf meeting! Of course I will bring the awaited AtomoCAD Preview Release 1, and, finally, the driver for the Lego USB Infrared Tower.

| 2004-08-04 Announcing a new big project for BeOS! |
I'm leaving home for a couple of weeks, but before I wish to announce a new big software project for BeOS and Zeta. I will not reveal its name for now, but it's already on the Web... somewhere. It's up to you to find it! Or get that small, old screenshot on the right and be happy. An hint? It's something still missing in the BeOS world and, as far as I know, there are no active projects for making one. It will be a commercial application (hey, we're putting a lot of time in it), but nothing has been decided yet. A more detailed announce will be made before next BeGeistert, stay tuned! | 2004-06-29 Time to go dual |
Who wouldn't like a dual processor machine to run BeOS on? Today I turned this dream into reality! Yesterday I received a dual Slot1 motherboard and two PentiumII 350 CPUs from Germany, and I put them in the craziest cabinet I could find to obtain a very interesting (and eye-catching) BeOS demo machine. Click on the picture for more photos and screenshots!

Like past year, ItBug was present at the Webbit, a computer fair in Italy with an Arena where communities can bring their computer and connect them to the local network. Take a look at my pictures!

Nicholas Blachford made a nice report of BeGeistert 12 on OSNews, including six pages of pictures. On the third page there's a picture of me :-)

I'm back! (together with a wireless access point for my iBook). No interesting pictures from me, this time, but it was funny! I showed off my software to many people and someone was very interested. Expect some news in a couple of weeks, when I'll be at the Webb.it 04!

| 2004-03-06 Bye bye BeSFX |
|
I decided to no longer work on BeSFX, at least for some time, so I moved BeSFX to the Archive. The same fate happened to the international versions of the Frontend Collection, which now has its own page on the site. And I had to close the ItBug webring... my site was the only one survived :-(

| 2004-01-30 iBook, and you? |
|
For the first news for the year 2004 A.D., I present you my new iBook! My Compaq Presario had some problems, so I sold it and used the money to buy one of the sexyest notebook available today! It sports an 800 MHz PowerPC G4 CPU, MacOS X "Panther" and a sharp 12" monitor. It's light, compact, and can work for five hours with its battery: exactly what I need. And this is my first Mac. A defect? It cannot run the BeOS... Will this affect my BeOS passion? Not very much, I need an OS for my PCs. I'm working on all my BeOS software: Biffuz Frontend Collection 2.0 RC1 is ready and will be available soon, and BeNQC will follow it; then I'll work on AttribExplorer. I have some more projects in progress, including some retouches to Deskbar and Tracker to modernize them. That's all for today. Bye! Add a comment |
