Biffuz Biffuz Blog
2003-11-29 Finally some news!
Some weeks ago, something bad happened to my Windows hard drive, and my latest backup was three months old... I've recovered almost everything, but of course I had to stop any other activity. Now I'm fully back!
Now, on the software side: my Biffuz Gogo Frontend 2.0 RC1 is going to be released soon to whoever ask it (it's not going to be available to the general public). If you want it, please write me (and remember this is a beta!). BeNQC will be updated to the latest NQC version with USB support! This was done with the help of the BeOS USBKit, so I removed the old unfinished driver from BeBits (you can still find it here, but it is completely useless).

Ok, that's all for today. Bye!

2003-10-21 Back from BeGeistert
Wow, what an experience! In Düsseldorf there were many common faces in the BeOS community, it was great to speak with some of them! Take a look at my photo gallery!

2003-10-16 BeGeistert!
This evening I'm going to Düsseldorf, Germany, where I will attend to BeGeistert 011: The NeXTSteps!

I'll bring there my Gogo Frontend 2.0 Release Candidate 1. I decided to raise the version number from 1.3 to 2.0 when I noticed that I rewrote it almost completely...

Bye!

2003-08-03 Let's talk about priorities
Today I realized I don't have enough time, and I have to set some priorities, so I decided to remove BeSFX from BeBits because it is in a very early stage, and put it "on hold", until other and more important projects reaches an usable state. Of course, you can always download it from my site.

2003-07-26 May you send me a screenshot of the new Gogo Frontend please?
20030726.jpgToday I received a mail from someone who asked for a screenshot of the upcoming Gogo Frontend 1.3, so here is it (click it if you want a larger picture). And look carefully on the processor it's running on!
From this picture, you can see some of its new features, too.

I hope this news makes someone happy :-)

2003-07-24 Those damn Macintoshes...
If you ever wanted a PowerPC edition of my software, now there's your chanche! But Murphy's law is always at snare... Eros Viganò, a good ItBug fellow, borrow me a PowerMac 8550, but it's display adapter doesn't fit any of my monitors!!!

I'll keep you up-to-date about this...

2003-05-29 AttribExplorer goes BeUnited
Finally AttribExplorer has entered the BeUnited's Developer Portal. I hope to get the CVS soon, so any developer who wishes to do something on this project can post his patches easily!

2003-05-14 Webb.it is over...
20030514.jpg...and I can't wait for the next one to begin!

It has been a great experience for every ItBug member, and Bernd Korz (who you can see with me on the photo, he's the guy on the left; click it for a larger picture) is an incredible friendly guy! And he was really satisfied about this experience!

For more photos and infos, check out the pages by Il tuo Sistema and ItBug.

2003-04-18 When you like someone else's site...
In a few words, I was tired of how my site was organized. And when I discovered how well the DarkWyrm's site works, I decided to copy it :-)
Now, the home page is a sort of personal journal, so I can keep you informed on the progress of my software and other things. Ok, let's start with the first status update...

20030418.jpgOn the right, there's a screen shot of an hex editor I'm working on for AttribExplorer, and the whole project will enter the BeUnited's projects family (I'm already in contact with the Developer Portal Team) by the end of this month.
Version 1.3 of my frontends for Gogo and Oggenc are progressing slowly, but the results will be worth the wait.
The Lego USB InfraRed Tower driver is currently on hold, I have to study USB programming better to be able to continue on this projects (really no volounteers?).
The BeSFX project is on hold too, I just don't have enough time for it.

On the not-exactly-related-things side, my three months old Compaq Presario notebook has been repaired for the fifth time, so I think the three years extended warranty is a good thing. I hope this poor machine will be in shape the 11 May, because I will hold a workshop on BeOS programming at the Webb.it (and maybe we will see Zeta, too).

Well, I think it's enough for now. Bye!
